Speed Networking

The Brisbane North Older Persons' Network met for the first time over afternoon tea on November 7 in Geebung. To start the conversation practitioners took part in speed networking (see pic), each practitioner was paired up and allocated a few minutes to share their expertise.

The Metro North Older Persons' Mental Health Team joined the meeting and provided an update on services in the area. Coordinator Shele Liddle reports "the group enjoyed an excellent first meeting with fifteen practitioners in attendance including psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, dementia and home care advisers".

The network aims to bring together practitioners who are interested in learning how to better respond to and support individuals, families, and communities in Brisbane experiencing aging and mental health.
