Neurodiversity and Employment Panel Discussion

The Bunbury Autism MHPN recently invited a panel of experts to lead a discussion around neurodiversity and employment. Kerry West, social worker presented a summary from the Neurodiversity and Employment Symposium she recently attended. David King spoke from Forrest Personnel a local employment agency, Nick Avery spoke as a Carer and Youth Worker,  two representatives from CamCan provided local disability agency perspective and Declan Avery provided his lived-experience perspective.

Heidi Welsh Psychologist and coordinator of the network commented "it was a great success; the participants who attended said the topic and panel should be hosted every year. Families and professionals (came together) and were able to dialogue with the panel and problem-solve some of their situations. It was well received!"

Speak to your Project Officer if you would like to host a panel discussion at your next meeting.
