MHPN has suspended face-to-face network meetings until further notice while the public self-isolates due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, we are committed to helping network coordinators hold meetings via online video conferencing so you can attend your regular meeting with local participants.

MHPN networks are effective because they are uniquely local and offer mental health practitioners the chance to build beneficial relationships within their community. Find and join a network near you.

The networks will retain a local focus to support coordinators in providing a continuity of service to their existing local membership and any extra local practitioners who wish to engage with a network in the online space.

We have already supported a handful of network coordinators to host online network meetings for interdisciplinary mental health practitioners as a temporary replacement for local face-to-face meetings.

Therefore, network members and coordinators can still access peer support and free CPD (continuing professional development) while in ‘isolation’.

MHPN is adopting the Zoom online video conferencing app for meetings.

We can guide network coordinators and members on how to use teleconferencing with supporting written resources or via phone or email.

If you don’t feel comfortable running network meetings online, we recommend asking the network members if there is anyone who would be willing to step in and facilitate online meetings.
