The Queensland Transcultural MHPN is an exciting and dynamic network that brings together multidisciplinary clinicians and practitioners from all sectors, dedicated to improving mental health for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. In doing so, we consult widely with practitioners and community across these sectors to ensure professional development needs are represented accordingly and accurately in each of our meetings.
Our quarterly meetings offer a vibrant safe space for professional development through guest presentations, case studies, panel discussions, and collaborative learning amongst mental health practitioners with expertise or interest in transcultural mental health space across the sectors. All events end with opportunities for networking, meaningful connections to inspire ongoing conversations.
Join us to be part of a transformative community focused network on making a real difference in mental health care for CALD populations!
This network brings together mental health practitioners and mental health students located in Central Melbourne, who are interested in mental health and psychosocial support.
The network is open to all practitioners across a range of sectors. The focus is to come together, share information and learn in a collaborative environment.
Network meetings are held quarterly, in the Melbourne Central Business District.
This emerging network seeks to establish a collaborative bridge between the arts and mental health sectors. We bring together mental health professionals to expand our connections and highlight the significant role of evidence-based art interventions in mental health care, including expressive and creative practices. Our platform facilitates skill-sharing, training, and collective growth while advocating for the recognition and accessibility of art in mental health care within the Coffs Harbour communities. We will investigate evidence-based arts-based interventions across various disciplines, including visual arts, movement, dance, drama, play, and music therapy and its interdisciplinary integration. Our goal is to foster connections and share insights through presentations, case discussions, and peer support. In-person meetings will be held quarterly, providing a trauma-informed, person-centred, and inclusive environment for all mental health professionals, regardless of their backgrounds.
The Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN) respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri and the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin nation, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which our office is situated.
