The CALDMentalHealth Professionals Network in Adelaide is a community for mentalhealth professionals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to come together, share ideas, and learn from each other. While we’re based in Adelaide for in-person meet-ups, our network is open to CALD professionals across Australia through online meetings. This network is all about supporting each other in navigating the unique challenges we face when working with CALD communities, and promoting culturally inclusive mentalhealth care. It’s a space to swap stories, discuss best practices, and stay updated on cultural competency and professional development.
This network has a focus on the mentalhealth of those in the African, Indigenous and CALD communities. Network meetings consist of guest presentations, case discussions, panel discussions, and peer support. This network aims to meet quarterly.
