MHPN networks thriving amid pandemic challenges

MHPN is proud to report that we have several new clinician-led interdisciplinary networks starting up.

With COVID-19 restrictions easing in some states and territories, our project team is not only starting new networks, but also rolling out online-only networks; and supporting existing coordinators through the next phase according to local, state and national government directives.

We’re supporting several new networks starting in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sunshine Coast and online.

Like many organisations, we have had to re-structure the face-to-face aspect of our internal and external operations during the pandemic.

In the six months from March to August, our staff have met the challenge of working at home in Melbourne to help face-to-face networks meet online; and transition back to face-to-face meetings with a mix of the two formats.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that, during the restrictions, new coordinators realised how much they valued the collegial support they receive at meetings.

For clinicians working at the frontline of mental health, the network meetings provide a safe space for them to come together to debrief and learn new skills.
