Whether you’ve participated before or are thinking about it for the first time, these tips will make it easy
Thousands of practitioners have already benefited from attending an MHPN webinar. Whether you’ve participated before or are thinking about it for the first time, these tips will make it easy.
1. A high speed internet connection will help you see and hear the webinar clearly
It is important to know that if your internet’s bandwidth is insufficient, the picture and sound quality will be compromised.
Generally, if you can stream YouTube, you’ll be able to participate in the webinar. However, before the webinar you should:
- Confirm your computer has the appropriate software. Visit the testing page and click on “test your system” button. Don’t worry about testing your microphone or webcam as you won’t be able to speak or use your webcam during the webinar.
- Make sure no-one using your internet connection is downloading while you are watching the webinar.
- Disable any software that might interfere with your ability to stream video content.
If you experience sound problems you can access a Freecall number and listen to the webinar over your phone (Australian-based callers only). This number will be shown throughout the webinar.
2. Pose your own questions to the panel
When you register for the webinar you’ll have the opportunity to submit your own questions. The panel will do their best to answer these during the webinar.
3. Webinar start times
All webinar start times are based on the time in Melbourne and Sydney. Remember to make adjustments for your time zone.
4. Invite your colleagues to participate
Participating in webinars is free. Forward information you receive about webinars to your colleagues and encourage them to attend.
5. Register for an SMS reminder
As you will most likely register a few weeks before the event, provide your mobile number when you register and we’ll send you an SMS on the morning of the webinar as a reminder.
