The Mental Health Professionals’ Network’s (MHPN’s) recently signed funding agreement with the Federal Department of Health ensures it will continue to deliver its highly valued, national interdisciplinary networking and online professional development program to mental health practitioners and GPs through to 30 June 2026.

As MHPN enters its 16th year, it is important to acknowledge the continued support from its four member organisations, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, the Australian Psychology Society and the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses which has been pivotal in both securing this round of funding, as well as achieving the program’s past and future success.

MHPN remains one of the few programs that was conceived, established and continuously supported by these key mental health professional associations/colleges over such a substantial period.

We also wish to take this opportunity to recognise our many participants, in particular the volunteer network coordinators, stakeholders and partner organisations for their diverse contributions to MHPN’s programs. We look forward to working alongside many of you in the coming years to continue to support the mental health workforce.
