Christine is a nurse by background and has worked in senior leadership roles across a range of health and human services including mental health, AOD, disability, housing and homelessness, child protection, workers compensation and forensic health. These roles have highlighted, very starkly, the significant impact that the social determinants of health have on health and wellbeing outcomes.
Christine works for Primary and Community Care Services (PCCS), a not for profit a not-for-profit health organisation focused on improving the health and wellbeing of local communities. In the last year Christine has engaged with hundreds of GPs and other key stakeholders in South Eastern NSW to share PCCSs social prescribing program and help GPs address the social impacts on their client’s mental health and wellbeing.
PCCS has been pioneering social prescribing in Australia for many years. In a previous role, Christine was fortunate to first work with the PCCS team back in 2016 to implement an award-winning social prescribing program for people with work injuries across NSW.
Christine is passionate about working with people to address the many social factors impacting quality of life.
