David is currently the Practice Manager for Family Violence at Relationships Australia. This role looks at the overall organisation approach and practises in the area of violence around service delivery, training and skill development.
David has worked in the area of domestic violence and childhood sexual assault for over twenty-five years as both practitioner and service manager. He has worked as a service manager in torture and trauma counselling for people with refugee experience. David has also developed trauma counselling models for young people experiencing homelessness and sexual violence. He has also been on the research advisory panel for the Australian Centre for the Study of Sexual Assault and has been a peer assessor for the Australia’s National Research Organization for Women’s Safety (ANROWS).
