Dr Ferghal Armstrong graduated from the Queens University Belfast in 1998. He qualified as a General Practitioner in 2003 and has worked in his own GP Practice, as an Occupational Health Consultant, as well as delivering medical services in prisons.
He moved to Australia in 2014 and completed Addiction Medicine training at Eastern Health under the auspices of Turning Point Statewide Services, achieving a Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine (FAChAM) in 2020. Ferghal is committed to clinician education and improving outcomes for all people experiencing alcohol and other drug issues. His special interests include complex medical detoxes, lifestyle medicine and the recovery journey and cannabis medicine. Ferghal is also the host of the successful podcasts Cracking Addiction and MedHeads
