Dr James Ibrahim is a GP with a special interest in mental health, general practice behaviour, and the incorporation of social prescribing within General Practice. He has worked as a specialist community mental health GP within a multidisciplinary youth mental health team. He has held representative roles in GP training organisations as well as public health advisory roles across mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and suicide prevention.
He is currently the Director of Terrey Hills Medical Centre, founder, and inaugural Chair of the RACGP Social Prescribing Specific Interest Group. He is also the clinical lead GP in the areas of mental health and alcohol and other drugs for Sydney North Primary Health Network, as well as a member of their clinical advisory council.
