Dr Kirsty Jennings is a Biripi woman from the Mid North Coast of NSW. Kirsty originally trained as a Social Worker and worked many years in Aboriginal Community Mental Health before completing her Medical Degree at the University of Newcastle. Kirsty currently works as a General Practitioner in the Port Stephens area as well as a Staff Specialist in Justice Health and lecturer for the Thurru Indigenous Health Unit. Kirsty is the Deputy Chair of the RACGP Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Council.
