Dr Maddi Derrick is a Clinical Psychologist and founding director of Hobart ADHD Consultants, a private practice in Tasmania.
She leads a team of psychologists providing neurodivergent-affirming assessment and treatment services for ADHD and co-occurring conditions. She works predominantly with adults with ADHD and parents of children with ADHD and provides training and supervision for her team who work with individuals of all ages. She also provides cross-discipline training to external agencies.
With lived experience of ADHD, Maddi is a passionate advocate for systemic change. She has been a very active member of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association, being on the organising committee for the 2022 conference, and with her position on the development group for the Australian Evidence-based Clinical Practice Guideline for ADHD.
She co-founded the grassroots advocacy group, ‘Parents for ADHD Advocacy Australia’, and continues to assist awareness-raising through regular media contributions.
