Health Psychologist, Vic
Panellists have generously contributed to our CPD webinars. Please note that they are not employed by MHPN, and we are unable to contact them or provide referrals on your behalf.

After several decades of research at La Trobe University into the mechanisms of circadian sleep-wake cycles, focusing particularly on melatonin and the pineal gland, Stuart took early retirement but retained his sleep clinics at the Epworth Sleep Centre and ARMC (Veterans Psychiatry Unit). He specializes in treating the insomnias and parasomnias (as well as their comorbidities).

Stuart chairs the ASA (Australasian Sleep Association) Education sub-committee on Behavioural Management of Sleep Disorders whose mandate is to train psychologists by workshops and seminars on how to treat and manage the insomnias, hypersomnias and parasomnias. Under the auspices of the APS, this has been carried out in all States.

Dr Stuart Armstrong has presented on the following MHPN activities:

The Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN) respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri and the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin nation, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which our office is situated.
