Lauren Haskins

Lauren Haskins is a paediatric speech pathologist, business owner and health leader with more than 20 years’ experience across government, not-for-profit and private practice settings. 

In 2016, Lauren founded A Growing Understanding, a paediatric speech pathology practice supporting children and families across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. She is also the founder of Let’s Grow Together, which provides practical resources, professional development and community for speech pathologists and allied health professionals. 

Lauren is passionate about timely, flexible and family-centred services, as well as building ethical, inclusive and sustainable models of care. Her work reflects a strong commitment to evidence-informed practice, neurodiversity-affirming support and genuine collaboration across health, education and community settings. 

A recognised advocate and speaker within the allied health sector, Lauren contributes to conversations about workforce sustainability, emerging models of practice, disability reform, inclusion and the future of paediatric services. She currently serves as a General Director on the Board of Speech Pathology Australia and contributes to a range of professional and sector advisory groups. 

Lauren lives in regional NSW (Hunter region) with her husband and their two children.
