Susan is a psychologist with 25 years of experience working in the Suicide Prevention field. She has been involved with suicide prevention both in Australia and the USA, working mostly for NGOs in: training and education; project management; service innovation, development and implementation; policy development and advice; and Board representation, in settings including university, community and hospital.
Susan was elected to the Board of the American Association for Suicide Prevention (2008-2011) and contributed as specialist advisor to the Australian Government’s revised Suicide Prevention Framework “Living is For Everyone” suite of documents, while serving as a member of the Prime Ministerial Community & Experts Advisory Forum. She has been a member of the “National Committee for Standardised Reporting on Suicide” and an expert advisor to the A.C.T. Suicide Prevention Advisory Group, a State/Territory Government appointment.
