Wendy is a registered occupational therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. She has spent the past 8 years working with children and their families across various settings in the community, with a substantial amount of this time delivering therapy within schools and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Wendy is passionate about supporting and equipping families. Her mission is to enhance each child’s unique capacity, competence and independence in the daily activities that they want or need to do. She enjoys the challenge of customising her interventions to suit the desired functional goals in all areas of the child’s life. Seeking always to find evidence based strategies and collaboration with the broader health care team for each family, Wendy strives to ensure holistic, comprehensive intervention and overall case management.

To this end, Wendy created Confident Kids Occupational Therapy in 2020 to offer a customised, family-centred occupational therapy service for children. As a mum, Wendy understands the demands on parents today and ensures that therapy is realistic and engaging for every child, with play and connection being essential to the service delivered. Wendy thrives on her clients’ effort and persistence as they overcome challenges and master new skills, thus becoming more Confident Kids.
