Alan is a credentialed mental health nurse who has worked extensively in community mental health teams in inner city London and Sydney. He currently practices under the Mental health Nurse Incentive Programme (MHNIP) in a GP clinic in Byron Bay, NSW.
He has previously worked, for many years in a busy GP clinic located in Kings Cross, Sydney and has also worked as a senior manager for Housing Departments in the UK where he was responsible for commissioning supported housing schemes.
He is a virtuoso ukulele player and uses these skills regularly with his patients.
His main focus is linking the most deprived, marginalized and excluded in to general practice where physical, dental and mental health problems are addressed under one roof.
