Amity Mara

Amity Mara (she/her) is a twice forcibly displaced auDHD transgender Eelam Tamil woman, who lives with physical disabilities.

She is an admitted lawyer of the NSW Supreme Court, and has over 10 years experience in the not-for-profit sector running support programs and winning law reform campaigns with her communities.

In her current role leading the LGBTQIA+ program at the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture, Amity and her fully lived experience team walk alongside other LGBTQIA+ forcibly displaced people in their path to healing from torture, trauma, and displacement.
