John Kramer has been a GP in Woolgoolga (North Coast NSW) since 1981. He is married to Annette, with whom he has four children and four grandchildren.
He became an “Other Designated Prescriber” in 1995 with the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Unit of NSW Health Department, meaning that he can diagnose ADHD and initiate stimulant therapy in children aged 6-18 yrs. He also manages long-term adult ADHD patients.
He was the RACGP Representative on the ADHD “Guidelines Development Group” from 2019-2022.
He is the Inaugural Chair of the “ADHD, ASD and Neurodiversity Special Interest Group” within the RACGP’s Faculty of Special Interests.
He is the current Board Chair of the NSW Rural Doctors Network, having sat on the Board since 2008.
He has taught at the UNSW Medicine Rural Clinical School in Coffs Harbour since it opened in 2002.
