Belinda Swan is the Director of the Psychology Services and Professional Support Section of the Mental Health Services Branch, Australian Government Department of Health. She has worked in mental health policy and program management roles since 2010, including in the areas of youth mental health, multicultural mental health and mental health reform to improve access to services by hard to reach populations, including rural and remote Australians.
Prior to that she managed the delivery of a range of youth and disability focussed welfare support services and major welfare reform projects delivered by Centrelink and the Department of Human Services. Prior to commencing her career in the public service in 2002, Belinda worked as an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant and completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology Honours) through Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in psychology through the Australian National University.
