Carmel O’Brien

Carmel is a registered psychologist, a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) & APS College of Counselling Psychologists. Carmel has worked as both a therapist and as a case manager with children, adolescents and families at risk, with individuals, couples and parents. She has a special interest in surviving trauma, particularly the process of recovery from the impact of family violence. She works as the Director of Clinical Services at Doncare, managing a busy counselling program and a suite of services to supporting women and children who have experienced family violence.
