Dr Aerinn Morgan is a social worker at Uniting Communities.
Aerinn has previously worked extensively in the mental health, women’s health and community health sectors. She is currently the senior practitioner for the Adult and Family Counselling service and supervises a team of 12 counsellors.
The service provides counselling for a wide variety of people’s concerns but the predominant issues that are addressed relate to family domestic violence. Aerinn’s focus in this work is the safety of women and children and finding ways to invite men to take responsibility for, and change, their behaviour.
She is particularly interested in finding ways to support and maintain a positive and loving connection between the mothers and their children as part of a broader effort to mitigate the effects of family violence on children’s lives.
The Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN) respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri and the Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin nation, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which our office is situated.
