Dr Atsumi Fukui

Psychiatrist

Dr Atsumi Fukui obtained her medical degree from the University of New South Wales and also completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and is a member of RANZCP Section for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. She has also worked in senior management roles in the pharmaceutical industry.

She has extensive clinical experience in public teaching hospitals and in private practice. She is a consulting specialist to the Australian Defence Force; a Council Appointed Psychiatrist to the Health Professional Councils Authority; and a Medical Assessor for the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) in providing assessments and reports.
Her clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, military psychiatry, women’s mental health, cross-cultural issues and consultation-liaison psychiatry.
