Dr Huu Kim Le is a child and adolescent psychiatrist based in Adelaide.
Huu Kim consults for a local community mental health team in Southern Adelaide, as part of the Women’s and Children’s Health Network. He works with children up to the age of 16, from families predominately with a low socioeconomic background. In almost all cases, children present with deliberate self-harm, suicidal ideation or violence.
Kim is interested in the effect of social media on cluster suicides. He also speaks internationally on his special interest topic: gaming disorder, which was recently released by the World Health Organisation in 2018 as a diagnosis.
