Dr Julia White

Psychologist

Dr Julia White is a Senior Clinical Psychologist, clinical supervisor and discipline lead on the multidisciplinary Disaster Recovery team within the Schools and Early Years unit at Royal Far West. She has extensive experience supporting children’s wellbeing following natural disasters and developmental trauma, and has worked across not-for-profit, public health, and private practice organisations. Julia adopts a systemic, attachment-focused, strengths-based approach, with the aim of fostering secure connections between children and their carers, educators and community. She has worked with communities impacted by bushfires and floods around regional and rural NSW, delivering group programs for children and carers, professional development for educators, assessments, and individual therapy for children and carers.

In addition to her clinical and research qualifications, Julia has completed additional training in group facilitation, Tuning in to Kids, Circle of Security, Theraplay, TF-CBT, Seasons for Growth, Storm Birds and Cool Kids. Julia has published research examining the development of childhood anxiety, and has presented at local and international conferences, including the Early Childhood Voices Conference and the World Congress of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies.
