Dr Neil Ozanne

Dr Ozanne is a Consultant Occupational Physician (Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine – Royal Australasian College of Physicians) and a WorkCover WA Approved Medical Specialist for permanent impairment assessment.

He consults in Wembley, Midland, and Regional Western Australia.

He combines his specialist Occupational Physician training with his background of 24 years cradle-to-grave specialist General Practice experience to provide a comprehensive, holistic, biopsychosocial approach to undertake Independent Medical Assessments and Advice for work-related conditions, and non-work-related conditions that are impacting on work including:
• Physical, medical, and mental health.
• Independent Medical Examinations.
• Permanent Impairment Assessments.
• Fitness for Work Assessments.
• Return to Work Advice.

When he was a GP, Dr Ozanne found that the biggest long-term differences he made in his patient’s lives was by effectively treating their mental health problems and their work-related injuries/problems. Which were usually inter-related. This led him to undertake further specialist training as an Occupational Physician.

He is a current serving member of the Medical Committee of WorkCover WA (since 2008).

Dr Ozanne believes in all parties working together for a win-win situation; managing an injured worker back to his or her best ability, ie a productive employee, working for a profitable employer, supported by a proactive insurer.

He derives great professional satisfaction in helping return a worker to full productivity.

He especially enjoys on-site consulting and work site visits and is available to travel to country towns.
