As an Occupational Therapist, Hilary has significant experience in the ageing and disability sectors. Her passion rests with community care service models that have a preventative focus and promote retention and regaining of a person’s independence and wellbeing.
Highlights of Hilary’s career include as a clinician and team lead, being part of the research and delivery of the first reablement service in Australia and working with the WA Home and Community Care Program to implement an empowerment approach to aged and community care service delivery.
Hilary has worked at Independent Living Assessment (iLA) since 2014. In her previous role as an executive manager, Hilary had oversight of the iLA My Aged Care Regional Assessment Service, Allied Health Services, and Sector Support and Development.
Hilary’s current role with iLA is Principal Advisor Wellness and Reablement. She has been involved in the recent development of two key platforms, ‘KeepAble’ and ‘LiveUp’, to support older Australians.
