Nathan Dart

Australian College of Mental Health Nurses

Nathan Dart, BNURS, MMHN, MHSM, AFCHSM, FACMHN, Cred MHN, is the Director of Nursing, Metro North Mental Health, where he provides strategic leadership across complex mental health, alcohol and other drug services. He has over 25 years of clinical and executive experience in Queensland’s public health system and served as Acting Chief Nurse Officer (Queensland) earlier in 2025.

Nathan is an elected Board Director of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) and chairs its Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, helping to shape national priorities and standards for the mental health nursing profession. He holds honorary appointments as Clinical Associate Professor at both Australian Catholic University and Queensland University of Technology (Faculty of Health, School of Nursing).

He is the former Nursing Director – Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisor with the Queensland Office of the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, and has previously held roles including Nursing Director and Assistant Nursing Director within Metro North Mental Health.
