Dr Janina Szyndler

Clinical and Educational and Developmental Psychologist, NSW

Janina Szyndler is both a clinical psychologist and educational and development psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology.

Janina has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adults and families. She has a particular interest in children with developmental disabilities and has been a consultant clinical psychologist within the National Health Service (UK). Janina has also worked as a clinical psychologist in child and family mental health at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Since 2003 she has built up her own private practice, and is now principal clinical psychologist at Apex Psychology. She has been an authorised clinician for the Children’s Court Clinic since its inception in 2001, and a regulation 7 family consultant for the Family Court since 2005. Janina regularly prepares reports in family law and insurance cases involving children with developmental disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Janina is a fellow of the Australian Psychological Society’s College of Clinical Psychology, and a member of the College of Educational and Developmental Psychology. She is an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a member of The Australian Clinical Psychology Association.

Janina is currently adjunct fellow in the School of Social Science and Psychology, Western Sydney University and clinical associate at the Australian Catholic University.
